WASHINGTON, D.C. -- President Obama is preparing to deliver his State of the Union address this Tuesday. He's expected to focus on boosting job creation and economic growth.

Many political analysts think the president is concerned that a poor economy could threaten his ability to pursue second term priorities, such as gun control, immigration and climate change. The President may also use the primetime address to announce the next steps toward ending the war in Afghanistan.

Meanwhile, two Republicans will be giving responses to the President's speech on Tuesday. Senator Marco Rubio of Florida was chosen to give the official GOP response. In addition, Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky will give the Tea Party's response.

The Tea Party Express, one of the largest tea party organizations, says it's pleased both Rubio and Paul will be speaking. Previous Tea Party speakers who countered Obama's State of the Union were 2012 Republican presidential contenders Michele Bachmann of Minnesota and Herman Cain.
