Burglaries in Pine Hills neighborhood
ALBANY, N.Y. -- Albany police are reminding residents in the Pine Hills neighborhood to keep their doors and windows locked following two separate burglaries this past Sunday.
Police say the first incident happened on Warren Street around 1:30 a.m. The victims woke to two men in the house, who demanded cash and their cell phones. The second was on Mercer Street at around 9:45.
Police say in both incidents, the suspects entered through an unlocked basement window.
Police suggest that residents keep windows and doors locked. Leave some lights on when you go out, and keep your garage door closed and locked.
