ORANGE COUNTY, N.Y. -- As more Orange County residents are finding jobs, the less people are using social services, according to County Social Services Commissioner David Jolly.

Jolly says on average, applications for public assistance in Orange County have gone down an average of 135 per month in 2012. That's compared to the year before.

According to Jolly, case loads for public assistance have also dropped about four percent.

Jolly also says for the first time in many years, food stamp case loads have also leveled off, even falling one percent.
