HYDE PARK, N.Y. -- A home in Hyde Park was destroyed as firefighters battled both flames and the brutal cold.
Firefighters say two people were inside the home when the fire started.
Crews say limited access to water was one of many obstacles they encountered.
“Very steep driveway, limited access. That's why we had to lay the hose up the driveway. The cold makes it a little hard," said Matthew Cady, Assistant Fire Chief of the Pleasant Valley Fire District.
There are no reports of a cause or any serious injuries.
The Red Cross is assisting the family.
