NEWBURGH, N.Y. -- Newburgh City Police say one person is in the hospital following a shooting on Liberty Street Monday evening.

The shooting happened around 6:15 p.m. outside of a corner store at the intersection of Liberty and Clinton streets.

Police have not released any other details regarding the shooting at this time.
