TROY, N.Y. -- Police were called to an area on Broadway around 3 a.m. Sunday in response to a man who was threatening to start shooting people.

After a short chase, Jallah McCall threw the gun onto a rooftop and was arrested soon after that.

Police were able to find the gun and found it to be a loaded, stolen handgun.

Charges against McCall include criminal possession of a weapon. McCall was scheduled to be arraigned sometime Sunday.

Now, while searching for McCall's gun, officers heard shots fired near Second Street between State and Broadway. Five people were detained and shell casings and a small amount of blood were found in the area.

Police eventually found the weapon, but there was no sign of a victim. Police are still trying to confirm if there was anyone shot or injured.

None of those people detained were taken into custody.
