CAPITAL REGION, N.Y. -- Two Capital Region hospitals are looking at ways to possibly collaborate in the future. Officials with Glens Falls Hospital and Albany Medical Center announced they've begun the process of finding ways to work together.

A leadership committee will be comprised of administrators and physicians from both hospitals. That committee will identify and prioritize opportunities for collaboration.

The hope is to provide top quality care that will benefit not only patients but the region as well. The president and CEO of Glens Falls Hospital says the two hospitals have a long and successful history of working together and he hopes they'll be able to build on that existing relationship.

The president and CEO of Albany Med says he believes the move will result in innovation and improvements in patient care.
