MASSACHUSETTS -- Former Massachusetts Congressman Barney Frank says he'd like to be the temporary replacement for John Kerry's Senate seat. The recently-retired Frank asked Governor Patrick for the job earlier this week.
Kerry has been nominated as President Obama's new Secretary of State.
No word yet if Governor Patrick will appoint him as the interim Senator until a special election is held to fill Kerry's seat.
Frank spent 32 years in the House of Representatives and did not run for re-election.
