SCHENECTADY, N.Y. -- Team USA easily advances to the semifinals of the World Junior Ice Hockey Championship.

USA shutout Czech Republic 7-0 in the quarterfinals.

They did it all without Union defenseman Shayne Gostisbehere. He was suspended one game by the IIHF Disciplinary Panel for taking a cheap shot on a Slovakian player.

Team USA will play their neighbors, Canada, at Ufa Arena on Thursday.
