UNITED STATES – Friday kicks off the 26th annual "Tie One On For Safety" campaign. Mothers Against Drunk Driving is teaming up with the New York State Police and the Thruway Authority for the project.
Thruway toll collectors will be handing out MADD red ribbons to customers to display on their cars to raise awareness about the dangers of impaired driving. The hope is drivers will take the pledge to not only drive safe, but to drive sober.
