Two-car crash leads to DWI arrest

LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. -- A teen has been charged with DWI after Colonie police say they were responding to a two car crash. Police say it happened on Troy-Schenectady Road just after 9 p.m. Sunday.

They say 18-year-old Zachary Donnelly was traveling west on Old Loudon Road when he crossed into the eastbound lane and hit another car. The driver in the other car was treated at Albany Medical Center for injuries to his head and hip. Police say Donnelly was treated for non life threatening injuries and charged with DWI.

Witnesses say they saw Donnelly speeding just before the crash.

Anyone who witnessed the crash or has more information is asked call Colonie Police Traffic Safety at 783-2744.
