ALBANY, N.Y. -- The man accused of stabbing three Albany women, killing one of them, is expected to be in court today.

Michael Anderson, 29, is charged with one count of second-degree murder and two counts of attempted murder.

Police say Anderson stabbed his ex-girlfriend 26-year-old Shaquasia Thomas, her sister 20-year-old Tonette Thomas, and their aunt, 43-year-old Gwynn Carter at their home on Myrtle Avenue last Monday.

Tonette Thomas was killed in the attack. Family members say Anderson had made threats against them before.

Police say they knew of Anderson because of prior arrests, but not in connection with this family.

Anderson has already pleaded not guilty to the charges.
