SCHENECTADY, N.Y. -- After a brawl broke out at Club XI in Schenectady this past weekend, police and the State Liquor Authority move to revoke the club's liquor license.

Three people were stabbed after a large fight broke around the club around 3 a.m. Sunday.

Club XI is the third business to lose its liquor license in recent months. The police department worked with the liquor authority to shut down Joe's Bar on Fifth Ave. and Club 548 on Schenectady Street.

Mayor Gary McCarthy supported the move. In statement about the shut down, he said, "I expect city businesses to operate in a responsible manner to ensure public safety. If they fail to do so, we will leverage all resources available to us to take the necessary steps to close the business. Today’s action by the New York State Liquor Authority is an example of that effort."

Club 11 will be allowed to re-apply for their permit in 30 days.
