HUDSON VALLEY -- FEMA is working hard to make their presence known in the Hudson Valley. After Superstorm Sandy devastated many parts of the region, Community Relations Specialists have been visiting Ulster and Sullivan counties to spread the word about FEMA's Public Assistance Program.

Beginning today, two Registration Centers will be opened to assist individuals in applying for disaster benefits. FEMA representativeness will be available to discuss options, and help maximize benefits.

The centers are located at the Saugerties Senior Citizen's Center and at Kingston City Hall. They will be open 8 a.m. until 4 p.m., today through Monday. If you aren't able to make it to one of the Registration Centers, you can still register for assistance by calling 1-800-621-3362, or online at DisasterAssistance.gov.
