ALBANY, N.Y. – Five-and-a-half tons of turkey, 9,000 rolls and 400 gallons of gravy. That's what it takes to feed the more than 9,000 people at the annual Equinox Thanksgiving Dinner.

Now as you can imagine, it'll take quite a while to get all that food ready, so volunteers were up early Sunday morning beginning the prep work, peeling 3,400 pounds of potatoes, cooking 350 turkeys and chopping carrots, celery and parsley to make stuffing for each of the birds. But Equinox has some help.

"Every about three hours, we have another group of about 120, 150 people that come, replace the other groups and just keep cutting, peeling and cooking. So it's going to be a great day!" said Lia Bosquez, Equinox Director of Development and Community Relations.

Monday morning, volunteers will put the ingredients together to make the stuffing.
