GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. -- A train derailment on the Berkshires happened around 7:40 p.m. Thursday on Front Street in Great Barrington.
More than a dozen cars derailed. They were carrying freight, but nothing hazardous.
There was no danger to anyone around where the cars derailed, though one car came to rest on a building. That building has minor damage.
No one was hurt.
There's no word on what caused the derailment, but it will take crews some time to clean up.
