ALBANY, N.Y. -- Is the Capital Region competitive in the global economy? That was the question posed by leaders at a panel of how current and future policy making could affect local businesses and the local economy.

The roundtable discussion was hosted by the Albany-Colonie Regional Chamber of Commerce.

"We are looking at regional councils. How economic development is being done in New York. Is it working and how can it still get better. We are talking about health care exchanges, which is important not to just businesses, but individuals. How will it roll out? What will the cost be? How effective will it be?" said Mark Eagan, President and CEO of the Albany-Colonie Regional Chamber of Commerce.

Capital Tonight host Liz Benjamin was one of speakers on the panel.
