SCHENECTADY COUNTY, N.Y. -- A grand jury has indicted a man on 19 counts of insurance fraud. According to the Schenectady County District Attorney's office, William Uris defrauded MVP Healthcare and the New York State Department of Financial Services out of more than $50,000.

Officials say Uris falsely represented individuals so he could get them less expensive health insurance when they did not qualify for the program.

He was also charged with grand larceny, forgery, falsifying businesses records, and scheme to defraud. Officials believe the fraud started back in 2008.
